DE storage is centralized; resources are protected in order of Elixer > Gold > DE. Mortars & anti-air are near the core, but spread out enough that dragons can't take them out at the same time. Air sweeper is rather exposed near the edge, but covered by air and land defense. Archer towers and teslas strengthen areas where anti-air doesn't cover.
