Since TH 8 is ninjae to 3 stars, your TH is not a top priority to protect. Instead, place the TH on the outside allowing for a more centralized CC. Since TH 8's are ninjae to hog attacks, it is essential to have a CC that is hard to draw. This accomplishes a good defense against hogs while still keeping a tighter base for anti-gowipe protection.
